Participants of this training will learn to systematically plan and integrate design thinking within learning arrangements and team work. Design thinking is a systematic approach to solve complex problems from all areas of life. While many scientific approaches and practices approach tasks from technical solvability, the design thinking approach focuses on the user’s perspective and needs to create user-oriented inventions.
Design thinkers look at the problem through the user’s eyes and thus put themselves in the role of the user. The objective of design thinking is to promote human-centred design and entrepreneurial spirit into innovative solutions and business models. The approach enables students to think freely and make independent decisions within a defined framework. In addition, it is possible to work in interdisciplinary teams. By using design thinking methods and principles participants will develop or improve the competences listed as 21st century skills such as creativity, problem solving, holistic thinking, collaboration and innovation.
